Faith and Deeds – James 2:14–26

What does genuine faith look like in action?

In James 2:14–26, James challenges us to consider the relationship between faith and deeds. It is easy to say that we believe, but genuine faith in Jesus should make a visible difference in the way we live, serve, and respond to the needs of others.

Using the examples of Abraham and Rahab, James shows us that true faith is not simply something we claim with our words—it is demonstrated through our actions. Our deeds do not replace faith; rather, they reveal a faith that is alive and active.

James reminds us that “faith without deeds is dead.” Join us as we consider what it means to have a living faith that trusts God, responds to His Word, and is demonstrated through the way we live each day.
